Egypt’s Planning Min. Inspects National Center for Spatial Information Infrastructure (NSDI)

Planning and Economic Development Minister, Dr. Hala El Said, toured yesterday the National Center for Spatial Information Infrastructure (NSDI). Dr. Hala inspected the division and was also briefed on the efforts of the center. NSDI‘s role is to develop government services, support digital transformation policies, and enhance multi-sector information infrastructure.

Dr. Hala El Said also underscored the importance of a spatial information infrastructure in implementing sustainable development strategies. Accordingly, this will enable informed decision-making, as well as effectively monitor and enhance the efficiency of developmental and investment decisions.

The Minister also got to know more about mobile technological and service centers across Egypt during the visit. The mobile service centers totaled 251, with 25 centers currently being equipped. Further, 198 mobile technology centers have been handed over to 11 entities. Further, 53 mobile service centers offering civil status, real estate registration, documentation, social solidarity, and social insurance services have been deployed.
