Dr. Manal Awad, Egypt’s Minister of Local Development, participated today in the personal interviews conducted by the National Training Academy (NTA) for candidates applying to the second cohort of the “Women Lead for Executives” program, a flagship initiative designed to empower women for executive leadership roles across government and public institutions.
Upon her arrival at the NTA headquarters, Dr. Awad was welcomed by Dr. Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the Academy, who briefed the Minister on the selection process and the academy’s broader vision for leadership development.
Dr. Awad commended the Academy’s continued efforts in cultivating a new generation of highly qualified executive leaders, noting its role as a national beacon for professional training and institutional capacity building. “The National Training Academy has become a distinguished model in preparing Egypt’s young and executive talent to lead with competence and professionalism, aligned with global standards,” she stated.
She emphasized that the “Women Lead for Executives” program is a key initiative within the broader framework of the Women’s Leadership Preparation School, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the National Training Academy. The program is tailored to prepare female leaders for high-impact roles, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in both the public and private sectors.
Dr. Awad reaffirmed the Ministry of Local Development’s commitment to supporting gender equality and fostering inclusive governance, adding that empowering women to assume leadership roles is integral to achieving Egypt’s national development goals and enhancing institutional effectiveness across all levels of government.
