Egypt’s Mayar Sherif Comes 70 on Women’s Tennis Association Ranking

Egypt’s Mayar Sherif’s WTA rating has plummeted to 70 in the final worldwide ranking of professional tennis players.

Sherif is expected to participate in the African Games in Ghana, which will take place between March 8 and 24.
The 27-year-old player withdrew from the Doha Squash Open tournament, which took place between February 11 and 17, due to injury.

In the same context, 2023 Roland-Garros champion Iga Swiatek topped the international ranking, followed by 2024 Australia Open champion Aryna Sabalenka.

In third place came 2023 US Open Champion Coco Gauff, 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, and Jessica Pegula. Tunisian star Ons Jabeur came 6th, 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova came 7th, followed by Qinwen Zheng, Maria Sakkari, and Jelena Ostapenko.
