Egypt’s First Lady Entissar El-Sisi Greets Muslims on New Hijri year

Yesterday, Egyptian First Lady Entissar El-Sisi extended her greetings to the people of Egypt, celebrating the beginning of a new Hijri year.

El-Sisi posted a message to Egyptians on her personal account, stating: I extend my greetings to the Egyptian people and the Islamic nation at the beginning of the new Hijri year. It is a solemn occasion that reminds us of the greatest meanings of loyalty, patience, and faith in the pages of human history,” she wrote of Facebook.

She further wished and prayed for a year full of prosperity and stability for Egypt and its citizens.

It’s worth mentioning that the Islamic lunar calendar marks the day Prophet Mohamed and his companions migrated from Mecca to Medina to escape persecution 1446 years ago.

Muslims around the world celebrate the Islamic historic event every year.
