Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has congratulated the Egyptian champions at the 2024 Paris Olympics, commending them for elevating Egypt’s name on the global stage.
In a post on X on Saturday, the president praised the top achievers, including Ahmed El-Gendy, who won the gold medal in modern pentathlon; Sara Samir, who won the silver medal in weightlifting; and Mohamed El-Sayed, who claimed bronze in fencing.
“This new accomplishment contributes to the achievements of this generation, underscoring the determination, perseverance, and strength of will of the youth of Egypt,” Sisi wrote.
He hailed their accomplishments as “a source of pride for our beloved nation.”
