Egyptian tennis player Mayar Sherif and her Russian partner, Anna Blinkova, won the women’s doubles title at the Jasmine Open (WTA 250).
They emerged victorious after defeating Anastasia Zakharova and Alina Korneeva in the final, scoring 8-10, 1-6, 6-2.
However, Sherif had a disappointing singles campaign at the tournament, being knocked out in the first round by Croatia’s Jana Fett with a score of 6-4, 6-3, 1-6.
Additionally, Sherif was eliminated from the singles tournament at Wimbledon in the first round and from the doubles tournament in the second round.
At the French Open (Roland Garros), Madison Keys also eliminated her in the second round.
