Egyptian Squash Champion Nour El Sherbiny Advances to Paris Squash Open Final

Egypt’s squash star Nour El Sherbiny, who leads the world rankings in the women’s divisions, qualified for the 2024 Paris Squash Open final on Friday, along with her co-champion Ali Farag on the men’s squad.

The competition ran from September 15 to 21.

The competition’s overall prize pool is valued at $190,000. This is one of the season’s major championships.

El Sherbiny has managed to advance to the women’s final upon defeating another Egyptian champion, Rawan Al Arabi, 3-0 in a 41-minute game. The detailed result was 1-11,12-14,7-11.

Farag, on the other hand, got to the men’s final after overcoming Peruvian great Diego Elias in a hard-fought 94-minute match. It ended 2-3 for the Egyptian superstar. The result in detail was: 4-11,7-11,11-6.

Right now, both El Sherbiny and Farag are the current title holders, and they are working hard on their title defense campaign to retain the titles and stay ahead of their opponents.
