In the 2023 Czech Squash Open final, Egypt’s Haya Ali defeated Britain’s Asia Harris 3-1 to win her third PSA Tour title.
The top two seeds faced off in this battle, but Harris, the No. 2 seed, jumped out to an early lead and won game one 11–6 in just eight minutes.
Ali came up with a strong response, winning game two by the same score and then winning game three 11-7 to go within one game of victory.
At 9-6, it appeared 19-year-old Haya would win easily, but Harris rallied to make it 9-9 before Ali used the match ball on the subsequent point.
When She struck the floor, the referee called a no-let, so Harris saved it and had her own game ball, but she was unable to convert. Ali then raised the match ball once again, seizing the chance to smash a strong forehand crosscourt that Harris could not return.
The No. 1 seed’s triumph completed a fantastic week as she won her third tour title of a breakthrough year that included victories at the BRESS Breda Open and Hyder Trophy in 2023.
