EgyptAir resumes its flights to Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon after Iran Attack end

News Agencies

EgyptAir has recently announced that it will resume flights to and from various airports in Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon. This comes after the reopening of airspace for air traffic in these countries, which was previously closed, leading to the suspension of flights by EgyptAir to the aforementioned destinations.

The decision to resume the flights is expected to bring relief to travelers and the aviation industry, which has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other geopolitical factors.

In other news, Iran has launched “extensive retaliatory drone strikes” against Israel, causing tension in the Middle Eastern region. The attack led to several countries, including Iraq and Jordan, closing their aerospace and suspending air aviation. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran claimed responsibility for the drone strikes, which were launched in response to the Israeli attack on the Iranian diplomatic mission in Syria’s Damascus on April 1.

Following the Iranian attack on Israel, Jordan declared a state of emergency, indicating the severity of the situation. Meanwhile, Iraq closed its aerospace, and air aviation stopped, as stated by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). Additionally, Lebanon has announced the temporary closure of its airspace from 1:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. on Sunday, indicating the need for heightened security measures in the region. The Rafic Al Hariri Airport will also be closed during this period.
