Egypt women’s national football team drew 2-2 against Rwanda in the second leg of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Despite the draw, the Egyptian team advanced to the second round of the qualifiers due to their aggregate score over the two legs, as the first leg had ended with a 1-0 victory for Egypt.
Egypt took the lead with a goal from Menna Tarek, but Rwanda equalized, bringing the first half to a 1-1 draw. In the second half, Habiba Essam scored the second goal for the Pharaohs, but just before the final whistle in stoppage time, Rwanda netted an equalizer.
