Egypt Recovers Stolen Artifacts from France

Egypt has successfully recovered several of its stolen antiquities from France, with a ceremony marking the return of the artifacts held in Paris. The recovery was facilitated by the Egyptian Embassy in France in collaboration with the French Ministry of the Interior.

Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Atti, attended the ceremony on Thursday, where he expressed his gratitude to the French government for its cooperation in the retrieval process. He commended the French authorities for their efforts in recovering the stolen Egyptian artifacts, recognizing them as invaluable pieces of Egypt’s historical and cultural heritage.

Minister Abdel Atti stressed the importance of continuing and intensifying efforts to dismantle the networks responsible for smuggling Egyptian antiquities. He further instructed the rapid completion of all procedures necessary for the safe shipment of the recovered artifacts back to Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The Minister also praised the diligent efforts of Egypt’s missions abroad in recovering stolen artifacts, highlighting the strong coordination between Egyptian embassies, national institutions, and key agencies, including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian Public Prosecutor’s Office, to safeguard the nation’s treasures and heritage.
