The largest comprehensive humanitarian aid convoy is organized by the ‘Tahya Misr’ Fund, aimed at supporting Palestinians in Gaza. The event, held in the New Administrative Capital, also marked the launch of the ‘Good Doors’ initiative, designed to support the most vulnerable families across Egypt during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative is in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing Egypt’s ongoing solidarity with Palestine and its commitment to supporting its own citizens in need.
The convoy, which set out from Tahrir Square, includes more than 460 trucks, carrying over 7,200 tons of food, essential supplies, and medical aid. With a focus on reaching Gaza in time for the beginning of Ramadan 1446, the convoy is being heralded as the largest of its kind, under the banner ‘We Share for Humanity.’
Attending the launch event were a range of notable figures, including Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and several other cabinet members. The event also drew governors, business leaders, and representatives from civil society and charitable organizations, all united in their mission to provide critical support.
In addition to the convoy, the ‘Good Doors’ initiative will provide 2.5 million food parcels, along with meat, poultry, and hot meals for Iftar and Suhoor. This initiative is set to alleviate the hardships faced by Egypt’s most vulnerable populations, offering much-needed relief throughout the 27 governorates during Ramadan.
This collaborative effort underscores the strength of Egypt’s commitment to humanitarian causes and its role as a steadfast partner in addressing the challenges facing both its own citizens and the broader Arab world.
