Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, accompanied by Fayoum Governor Ahmed El-Ansari, headed for Amman on Sunday to mull investments in the natural reserve’s domain.
The visit comes upon the invitation of Princess Alia bint Hussein to discuss boosting infrastructure between both countries in the protectorates’ domain.
The visit also comes upon the Egyptian premier’s directives to enhance environment and climate investment within this period.
In pre-departure statements, the minister said the two sides will probe ways of pumping investments in the natural reserves domain through setting up a park for wild animals in cooperation with Jordan similar to the park established at Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife to encourage environmental tourism.
Fouad added that she is planning on visiting Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife in Jerash to learn more details about the park and ways of engaging the private sector in such projects.
