On Tuesday, February 14, an awarding ceremony for excellence in environment, health, safety, and digitalization in the energy field took place at the conclusion of the activities of the second day of the sixth edition of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2023), held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla presented five awards to the winning companies in the following categories: Best Environmental Project of 2023, Best CSR Project of 2023, Best Health Project of 2023, Best Safety Project of 2023, and Best Digitalization Project of 2023.
First off, the winner of the Best CSR Project of the year award is ANOPC for the “Corporate Social Responsibility” project. The prestigious award is for Chevron for the “Girls Make Empowering Girls to be Future Innovators” project.
Secondly, PETROPEL received the Best Environmental Project award of 2023 for the “Desalination Plant Freshwater Withdrawal Reducing” project. The high-level award is for Baker Hughes for the “Integrated watershed management and soil carbon content enhancement” project.
As for the Best Health Project of 2023, it went to Badr Petroleum Company for the “Food Safety and Hygiene Management in Remote Locations” project. The highly commended award is for Rashid Petroleum for its project (Rashpetco) for “Health Risk Assessment” (HRA).
On the other hand, Total Energies accepted the Best Safety Project of 2023 award for their “Suez Depot Technical Truck Inspection Center” project. This award is for Methanex for the “Process safety management framework for the Egyptian oil and gas sector” project.
And finally, Egyptian LNG took home the Best Digitalization Project of 2023 award for the “HSE Barrier Management Dashboard” project. The distinguished award is for Baker Hughes for the “Multi-sensor data assimilation and model-driven analytics” project.
