The Arab Academy for Administrative and Banking Sciences (AAMBFS)—a specialized organization under the umbrella of the League of Arab States—has announced the appointment of Dr. Rasha Ragheb as First Vice President of the Academy.

The announcement was made by Prof. Dr. Mostafa Hadeeb, President of the Academy, who praised Dr. Ragheb’s longstanding dedication to capacity-building and her influential career across the public and private sectors. The appointment is expected to reinforce the Academy’s role as a regional powerhouse in executive education and leadership development.

Regional Voice for Leadership & Reform

Dr. Ragheb brings over 20 years of executive experience, spanning local institutions and global organizations. Between 2002 and 2008, she held several key leadership positions at AAMBFS, including:

  • Regional Director for Tunisia, Lebanon, and Jordan
  • Director of International Cooperation
  • Head of the SME Development Center in Jordan

During that period, she was instrumental in expanding the Academy’s network of partnerships with financial and developmental institutions across the region, laying the foundation for long-term Arab and international collaboration.

She previously served as:

  • Vice President for Strategic Planning & Business Development at ESLSCA University, overseeing operations across Africa and the Middle East
  • Strategic advisor to numerous international bodies on capacity development, institutional reform, and public policy innovation

Perhaps most notably, Dr. Ragheb served as the Founding Executive Director of Egypt’s National Training Academy (2018–2025), where she designed a groundbreaking national model to prepare emerging leaders and public sector executives.

In parallel, she led Egypt’s globally recognized World Youth Forum, positioning it as a premier platform for cross-cultural dialogue between youth and policymakers from across the world.

International Recognition

In recognition of her impact, Dr. Ragheb was named one of Forbes Middle East’s 20 Most Influential Arab Women in Government for 2025, citing her contributions to women’s empowerment, youth development, and human capital investment.

As the Academy looks to expand its regional and global footprint, Dr. Rasha Ragheb’s vision, expertise, and dedication to excellence will be pivotal in ushering in a new era of institutional growth and innovation.
