Egypt’s iconic Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids is set to resume this summer, with performances officially restarting on Friday, July 25, according to an announcement by the Misr Company for Sound and Light, along with the team overseeing the development and interim operation of the show.
This internationally renowned experience, which brings the story of ancient Egypt to life against the stunning backdrop of the pyramids and the Sphinx, will be held on a limited run across selected dates. The performances will take place on July 25, 26, and 27, followed by an additional show on Wednesday, July 30. The schedule continues with shows on August 1 through 3, a single midweek presentation on Wednesday, August 6, and concludes with a final weekend series from August 8 to 10.
Each evening will feature one show only, starting at 8:30 PM, and will be presented in English.
The Sound and Light Show, which first premiered in the 1960s, is a celebrated cultural attraction that combines narration, music, and spectacular lighting to offer an immersive journey through Egypt’s pharaonic history. The revival follows recent technical upgrades and enhancements aimed at improving the overall visitor experience and modernizing the historic performance for new audiences.
Though the current season will feature only English-language performances, the organizers have indicated plans to gradually reintroduce shows in Arabic, French, Spanish, and other languages in future cycles.
