Veteran Egyptian actress “Sawsan Badr” traveled to “London” in the United Kingdom, to attend a ceremony honoring her for her participation and remarkable work in the serial documentary “Mother of the World”.
The documentary includes a series of films consisting of 15 historical, dramatic, and documentary films, displaying Egypt’s history from an Egyptian point of view in a simple, exciting, and humane framework that comprehends the history of Egypt from its inception until the modern era. Mahmoud Rashad wrote and directed “Mother of the World” and Badr, with her Pharaonic features, participated and commentated throughout the documentary film.
Notably, Mr. Sherif Kamel, the Egyptian Ambassador to Britain, and all the staff of the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in London held a panel discussion and a ceremony honoring the Egyptian star for her participation in the documentary, of which the first part was shown, and preparations are underway for the second part.
The superstar expressed her thanks and gratitude to Professor Sherif Kamel, the Egyptian ambassador to Britain, and the entire staff of the Egyptian Cultural Office in London, for honoring her and awarding her an award and a certificate of appreciation for the role in “Mother of the World”.
After that, Sawsan posed for many photos documenting the event. She shared the happy moments on her official Instagram account, and the audience commented positively on her post, congratulating her on this honor.
It’s worth mentioning that the famed celebrity is known for her wonderful talent in acting in cinema and drama since the eighties and until now, most notably “Salam ya Sahbi” and “Shams Al-Zanati”, “Hadith Al-Sabah w Al-Masaa”, “Dameer Abla Hikmat”, and many more.
Her latest work was in the series “Jamila”, presented in the Ramadan race 2023.
