In a strategic move that underscores its commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable business practices, Contact Insurance Brokerage, a subsidiary of Contact Financial Holding, has officially joined the UN Global Compact Network Egypt (UNGCNE)—the local chapter of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The announcement signals a deepened dedication to advancing gender equity, transparency, and good governance within Egypt’s financial services landscape.

As part of this partnership, Contact Insurance Brokerage has also become a key supporter of “Bloom with Purpose”, UNGCNE’s flagship women’s empowerment program, which is Pearson-certified and designed to accelerate the advancement of women in mid-management roles to executive leadership positions.

“This partnership is not just a milestone—it is a declaration of purpose,” said Mrs. Nehal Break, Chairperson and Managing Director of Contact Insurance Brokerage. “We believe that empowering women and embedding good governance practices are not simply corporate responsibilities—they are strategic imperatives for building resilient institutions and driving meaningful economic progress.”

“Bloom with Purpose” delivers practical training in strategic leadership, emotional intelligence, and executive decision-making, equipping women with the tools to thrive in senior roles. Through its support of the program, Contact Insurance Brokerage is reinforcing its role as a catalyst for inclusion and a contributor to the development of Egypt’s private sector talent pipeline.

Joining the UN Global Compact opens access to an expansive ecosystem of sustainability tools and global knowledge platforms, including:

  • Sustain360: UNGCNE’s flagship ESG capacity-building program for businesses.
  • UN Global Compact Academy: The UN’s premier digital learning hub for sustainable leadership.
  • Global Business Accelerators: Covering key areas such as Business & Human Rights, Climate Ambition, SDG Innovation, and Business Integrity.

UN Global Compact Network Egypt CEO, Walaa El-Husseiny, welcomed the partnership, stating: “We are proud to collaborate with Contact Insurance Brokerage. Their support of ‘Bloom with Purpose’ reflects genuine commitment to advancing gender equity in leadership. This partnership lays the groundwork for long-term impact across Egypt’s financial sector and serves as a model for private sector engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals.”

Contact Insurance Brokerage’s engagement reflects a broader strategic direction embraced by Contact Financial Holding, which aligns its operations with national development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—notably in the areas of gender equality, quality education, decent work, and institutional integrity.
