Contact Financial Group, a leading provider of non-banking financial services in Egypt, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Safe Egypt Foundation to launch a comprehensive community program aimed at empowering women and strengthening family resilience.
The initiative reflects Contact’s broader vision of positioning itself as a development partner that goes beyond delivering financial solutions, extending into human capital development, financial literacy, and digital inclusion. The program focuses on raising awareness of sustainable financing tools and leveraging digital transformation to advance financial inclusion, particularly for women.
First phase With Multi-dimensional Approach
In its first phase, the program will support 100 women through an integrated, multi-track framework that combines psychological and social support with preventive awareness and practical economic empowerment. A core objective is to enhance women’s understanding of financial tools and optimal resource utilization through advanced digital systems, helping improve household living standards and laying the foundation for sustainable, long-term development.
By equipping participants with practical financial knowledge and digital skills, the program aims to facilitate their long-term integration into the labor market and broader society, while fostering economic awareness among future generations.
Mental health, resilience, and protection from violence
A central pillar of the initiative is mental health and emotional well-being. This component incorporates “The Elephant Program,” developed by Safe Egypt, which focuses on self-awareness, emotional resilience, and addressing psychological burdens faced by women. Through specialized sessions and interactive activities, the program seeks to build confident, decision-capable individuals.
This pillar is complemented by awareness sessions addressing domestic violence and personal safety. The program provides practical guidance on confronting domestic violence—recognized as a key barrier to economic stability—while outlining available protection and support mechanisms in line with national best practices.
Leadership perspectives on sustainable development
Commenting on the partnership, John Saad, Chief Executive Officer of Contact Financial Group, said the initiative reflects the company’s belief that sustainable economic development begins with people and cannot be separated from social and psychological stability.
“Our partnership with Safe Egypt embodies our vision of the non-banking financial sector as a true development partner,” Saad said. “Our role extends beyond innovative financial services to supporting integrated empowerment ecosystems that raise family awareness of digital transformation and modern technology, enabling Egyptian women to convert their potential into sustainable economic and social value. This strengthens social cohesion and drives more inclusive and resilient economic growth.”
Integrating psychological support with financial and digital empowerment
Sara Aziz, Founder and Director of Safe Egypt Foundation, emphasized that meaningful women’s empowerment requires addressing multiple dimensions simultaneously.
“At Safe Egypt, we believe true empowerment comes from within,” she said. “Through The Elephant Program, we provide psychological and emotional support while equipping women to confront different forms of violence. Our collaboration with Contact Financial Group allows us to add practical and digital solutions, enhancing financial and digital literacy so women can transition confidently and sustainably from one stage of life to the next.”
Governance, sustainability, and long-term impact
From Contact’s perspective, the initiative is also aligned with its governance and sustainability strategy. Safeya Borhan, Head of Governance, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainable Development at Contact Financial Group, noted that the company has long viewed women as central to shaping economic and social culture.
“Family psychological and emotional stability directly supports economic stability,” Borhan said. “Our partnership with Safe Egypt reflects a shared belief in empowering women and protecting children, while embedding financial awareness and digital transformation into daily life. Together, our teams will support participants throughout their journey—from rebuilding self-confidence to achieving financial independence.”
Contact will also deploy specialized professionals to train aspiring women entrepreneurs, transferring real market expertise to those who need it most. The group emphasized that empowerment is one of the most effective long-term investments in society’s future.
