Commvault, a global leader in cyber resilience and data protection solutions, has officially unveiled its new Center of Excellence (CoE) in Cairo, Egypt, signaling a major expansion of its support operations across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the CoE was attended by prominent figures, including Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, and Eng. Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). Commvault’s senior leadership, including CEO & President Sanjay Mirchandani and Chief Customer Officer Sarv Saravanan, also participated in the event, underscoring the significance of the facility’s launch.
In a world increasingly under threat from sophisticated cyberattacks, Commvault’s platform plays a vital role in helping organizations not only protect their data but also recover quickly in the event of an attack. Recent research from the Enterprise Strategy Group found that organizations face an average of eight cyber incidents annually, with four of them classified as major. Commvault’s solutions are designed to predict threats faster, recover cleanly, and accelerate response times—all while minimizing total cost of ownership (TCO).
