Cairo Governorate organized a meeting with members of the Egyptian Senate Simulation Model to discuss their contribution to spreading awareness of the President’s initiative for smart green projects and their participation in helping those wishing to register on the smart green project’s platform in Cairo through the initiative’s website www.sgg.eg, which started from the beginning of April It continues until the end of August.
Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, confirmed, in his statements, that the simulation model of the Egyptian Senate is a unique experience that reflects the interest of the political leadership in qualifying and empowering youth with the aim of creating a strong and diverse base of competencies in various fields to achieve Egypt’s 2030 Vision and prepare a generation capable of decision-making and political participation.
The governor said that the national initiative for smart green projects is keen on the participation of all segments of society in environmental projects that serve the process of sustainable development, as it includes 6 categories: small, medium, and large projects, startups, non-profit companies, and women’s projects.
The Governor of Cairo added that the initiative focuses on empowering women and youth in order to achieve sustainable development goals by converting these projects into a source of income for individuals and finding environmental solutions that limit climate change for the country.
