Bella Hadid’s Lawyer Cousin Reportedly Joins Imane Khelif’s ‘Aggravated Cyber Harassment’ Lawsuit

American-Palestinian lawyer Lina Hadid, the cousin of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, reportedly joined the legal team of Algerian Olympic gold medalist Imane Khelif, who has filed a high-profile lawsuit in France.

Khelif, who won gold in the women’s 66-kg boxing category at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has accused several prominent figures, including Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling, of “aggravated cyber harassment.”

The lawsuit stems from a wave of online abuse Khelif endured following her Olympic victory. Despite being a biological woman and having IOC approval to compete in the women’s category, Khelif faced a barrage of harassment questioning her gender.

Following these unsubstantiated accusations and her win, Khelif’s legal team, led by Paris-based lawyer Nabil Boudi, sued the French authorities. Interestingly, the lawsuit is also targeting former United States President Donald Trump and others who made derogatory remarks about Khelif on social media. Trump shared a picture of Khelif’s fight, writing, “I will keep men out of women’s sports!”

Hadid volunteered her legal expertise to support Khelif’s case pro bono. Announcing her involvement on Instagram, Hadid stated, “I will be on that legal team pro bono @palestinelobby.”
