The Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development has signed a new cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Food Bank, marking the launch of the second phase of the “Hennawsal Lehha W’Nqawiha” (We Will Reach Her and Empower Her) project in Beni Suef Governorate.

The partnership aims to build on the success of the project’s first phase by expanding its reach and deepening its impact on women and vulnerable families in Upper Egypt. The initiative focuses on empowering women socially and economically, enhancing their skills, and improving living conditions within targeted local communities.

Under the new phase, the project will continue to provide integrated support that combines economic empowerment, awareness, and social protection. This includes supporting women-led households, improving access to essential services, and strengthening community resilience through sustainable development interventions.

Representatives from both organizations emphasized that the renewed cooperation reflects a shared commitment to addressing food security, poverty reduction, and women’s empowerment—key pillars of inclusive development. The project also aligns with national efforts to support underserved governorates and promote balanced regional development.

Officials highlighted that Beni Suef was selected due to its development needs and the importance of investing in women as key drivers of positive change within their families and communities. By working together, the Banque Misr Foundation and the Egyptian Food Bank aim to maximize social impact through coordinated resources, expertise, and field experience.

The project is part of broader civil society and private-sector efforts to support sustainable development goals in Egypt, particularly those related to poverty alleviation, gender equality, and food security.
