The Secretary-General of the Arab Journalists Union, Khaled Miri, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Egyptian government for its significant efforts to assist the Palestinian people in Gaza, particularly in treating the injured.
Miri underscored Egypt’s critical role in transporting fellow journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh from the Gaza Strip to Egypt for medical treatment.
He further reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for Palestine, emphasizing its efforts to put an end to Zionist aggression and assist Gazans with various forms of aid.
The Secretary-General noted that Egypt provides 80% of the aid entering Gaza, which includes treating a great deal of injured people in Egyptian hospitals.
Miri went on to say: Halting the Zionist aggression against our people in Gaza remains Egypt’s top priority until the successful conclusion of efforts led by Egypt to end this aggression.
The display of appreciation highlights Egypt’s critical role in the region, not only as a conflict mediator but also as an essential provider of humanitarian assistance.
The country’s actions demonstrate its long-standing commitment to its neighbors and the larger Arab community.
