ALEXBANK Shares New Circles for Women Empowerment

ALEXBANK, a bank of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, sets a forward-thinking strategy of a shared value towards womenโ€™s empowerment.ย  Accordingly, it launched an internal โ€œSHARING CIRCLEโ€, a virtual sharing moment, last September. As part of this program, a series of sessions in this program ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž ๐…๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐›๐š๐ง๐ค ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐„๐ ๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ญ some precious โ€œheart-to-heartโ€ moments โ€“ female to female- on aspects in life and growth, sharing personal experiences, chances, hopes, and insights.

ย ๐€๐‹๐„๐—๐๐€๐๐Šโ€™๐ฌ ๐•๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ witnessed the kickoff of the Sharing circle with the first session by One of ALEXBANK key female figures, Ms. Gilan Elbassuni ALEXBANKโ€™s Head of Credit Administration Department, and member of the ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐Ÿ’๐…๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž program of Intesa Sanpaolo Group. The Session witnessed a high voluntary virtual attendance of over 160 female staff members.

Her journey to success she attributed to Resilience, shedding arrogance and adopting a learning attitude, maintaining emotional control, and fostering a helping attitude always towards others. She also pointed out the power of females in Egypt that is always manifested through effort, diligence, and self-reflection. She also shared how she reacted in the junior years of her career to possible instances of gender discrimination.

ย In 2022, the bank received Egyptโ€™s Gender Equity Seal (EGES) certification from the National Council for Women (NCW) and the World Bank, as a result of its efforts in applying and remaining committed to applying gender equity practices, by the World Bank gender equity model across the areas of employment, career development, work-life balance, and anti-harassment policies.
