Al Mirage Developments has officially commenced construction on its flagship Hilton Tower and Hilton Hotel project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), just two months after the project’s official launch to clients — a swift and notable move in Egypt’s booming real estate market.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held earlier this week, brought together Dr. Mohamed Selim, Chairman of Selim Holding Group, which owns Al Mirage Developments, and also a Member of Parliament and Deputy for African Affairs. He was joined by Mr. Alessandro Redaelli, Vice President at Hilton Worldwide, along with a number of media representatives, business partners, and stakeholders from across the sector.
Dr. Selim described the Hilton Tower and Hilton Hotel as a manifestation of Al Mirage’s vision to support Egypt’s strategic goal of creating a world-class capital city. He emphasized that the project merges international hospitality standards with local development goals, offering a model of urban growth that aligns with the country’s broader economic transformation.
He underscored the value of partnering with a prestigious global brand like Hilton, noting that the collaboration elevates the project’s profile and introduces a new level of quality and trust to the New Administrative Capital’s real estate market. Selim added that beginning construction so soon after the project’s launch reflects Al Mirage’s deep commitment to its clients and its emphasis on credibility and delivery.
The development occupies a prime location in the capital’s Tourism Towers District, situated on the North Ben Zayed Axis, with direct views of the Green River. Its strategic positioning places it within minutes of the New Capital Airport, the Ministries and Financial Districts, Egypt’s Grand Mosque, and the Gold Market — reinforcing its accessibility and investment appeal.
Designed as a fully integrated mixed-use project, Hilton Tower combines commercial, administrative, and hospitality components in one of the capital’s most prominent corridors. The complex includes a dedicated retail zone, multiple levels of premium office space, and two hotels managed by Hilton Worldwide: Hilton Tower and Hilton Downtown. According to Selim, the hotels will feature a full suite of services and amenities, including luxury hotel rooms, serviced apartments, sky villas, meeting and conference facilities, fitness centers, a spa, and outdoor pools.
The project is set to deliver 250 hotel rooms and 30 serviced apartments, offering a range of spaces tailored to investors and end-users alike. Residential and administrative units range in size from 30 to 95 square meters, with flexible configurations available to meet different usage needs.
Since its initial launch, the Hilton Tower project has achieved significant commercial success. Both the first and second phases sold out in record time, a reflection of strong demand for high-end, integrated developments in the New Capital. Dr. Selim attributed this market response to the project’s premium location, innovative design, competitive payment plans, and the trust associated with the Hilton brand.
He added that Al Mirage is one of the few developers in the capital to initiate construction in tandem with sales activities — a strategic decision intended to reassure buyers and set a new benchmark for delivery credibility. The company expects to begin handovers within three years, starting in 2025.
