Al Mashat: We Work on Women Empowerment Economically

The opening of the 2022 edition of the AWIEF Conference witnessed the gracious presence of Egypt’s Minister for International Cooperation H. E., Dr. Rania Al-Mashat. The 8th edition of the AWIEF Conference took place in Cairo, under the theme of “Advancing Africa Through Gender Integration”. The AWIEF Conference is co-organized by Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation and the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association.

AWIEF Conference witnessed the attendance of some TOP 50 members, including Nievine El Kabbag, Minister of Social Solidarity, Member of the United Nations on Elimination of Discrimination and NWC President, Dalia Ibrahim, CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, and Heba Abdel Latif, Head of FI and Correspondent Banking at the CIB.  The event brought together the representatives of the African Union, African development partners, and private-sector entities.

Delivering a keynote speech, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat stressed the importance of hosting the 8th edition of the AWIEF Conference in reflecting the International Cooperation Ministry’s constructive partnerships, as well as the State’s efforts to empower women economically.

“The hosting of this event reflects Egypt’s keenness and support for empowering women and enhancing their economic participation and important roles in innovation and entrepreneurship to achieve sustainable development.”, said Al Mashat.
