Following the fire that recently broke out in the urban area of Giza governorate, the Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevine El-Kabbaj, has directed the provision of immediate financial assistance for the affected families. This directive is in response to the Prime Minister’s call for assistance to be granted to those impacted by the incident.
To this end, the affected families will receive a rental value payment for several months, equivalent to the rent in their area. This will facilitate their ability to navigate the aftermath of the fire while the damaged buildings are repaired and restored to their original condition. The Governor of Giza will also be actively involved in coordinating efforts to assess the extent of losses and minimize the cost of repairing and furnishing the damaged housing units.
The Director of the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Giza, Al-Qabaj, has announced the immediate disbursement of subsidies to the affected families. General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, is coordinating with Al-Qabaj to account for the losses and reduce the cost of repairing and furnishing the damaged housing units.
The officials are committed to ensuring that all families receive the required assistance. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly visited the site of the fire that broke out in the urban area of Giza governorate.
The visit aimed to control the fire, assess the scale of losses, and expedite the disbursement of compensation. The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning.
Nevin Al-Qababaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, and Ms. Nevin Al-Kelany, Minister of Culture, and other officials of relevant agencies accompanied the Prime Minister. The fire caused significant damage to the facades of seven buildings and some units. However, there was no loss of life.
