Competing in the Women’s Kumite -55 kg category inside the packed main hall of the Indoor Sports Complex at Cairo International Stadium, Youssef dominated her final match with power and precision. She defeated her Slovakian opponent 9–3, a scoreline that reflected her control from the opening exchange to the final buzzer.

Spectators erupted as Youssef raised her fist in victory—an image that quickly rippled across Egyptian media. For many young athletes in the stands, she became a symbol of what is possible in a sport where Egyptian women have increasingly risen to international prominence.

With competitors from 88 countries, the event has placed Egypt at the center of the global karate stage, showcasing both its organizational capacity and its athletic depth.

The Egyptian Karate Federation praised Youssef’s achievement, with Federation President Mohamed El-Dahrawy calling her victory “an inspiring milestone for Egyptian women in sport.” He emphasized that her performance reflects years of rigorous preparation by the national team and its technical staff.

As the tournament continues, Youssef’s win stands out not only as a personal triumph but as a resonant moment for Egypt’s sporting community—one that will likely influence young karatekas for years to come.
