Ahl Masr Burn Hospital Welcomes EBank Delegation in Enduring Investment in Public Health and Community Service

Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, the first specialized facility in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa dedicated exclusively to the free treatment of burn injuries, welcomed a delegation from the Egyptian Export Development Bank (EBank) for an inspection visit that reaffirmed a long-standing partnership grounded in social responsibility and national service.

This year marks the eighth consecutive year of support from EBank, whose contributions have played a critical role in strengthening the hospital’s capacity to deliver comprehensive burn care. The bank’s latest initiative included equipping a state-of-the-art patient preparation room within the hospital’s emergency department — a significant enhancement that will improve the speed and quality of urgent medical interventions.

The visiting delegation toured several key hospital departments, including emergency services and intensive care units, gaining insight into the hospital’s cutting-edge infrastructure and its commitment to global standards of care. Ahl Masr Burn Hospital remains a unique medical institution, providing free, high-quality treatment to burn patients of all ages while integrating psychological and social rehabilitation into its care model.

Since opening its doors in March 2024, Ahl Masr Burn Hospital has provided care to over 8,000 patients, treated more than 2,500 cases in its emergency unit, and admitted approximately 350 patients to adult and pediatric intensive care units. The hospital’s model of integrated care — encompassing both medical and post-operative psychological support — is designed to help survivors heal physically and emotionally, and to ease their reintegration into society.

EBank’s support over the years has included the provision of advanced medical equipment, fully furnished recovery rooms, and essential clinical infrastructure — contributions that have tangibly elevated the hospital’s ability to deliver lifesaving care and have directly impacted the lives of thousands.

Hospital leadership emphasized that this ongoing partnership highlights the critical importance of collaboration between civil society and national institutions in addressing complex healthcare challenges. Burn care, in particular, requires a multidimensional response that encompasses not only urgent clinical treatment but also public education, prevention, and emotional recovery.

Central to the hospital’s mission is its guiding principle: “A Humanity Without Burns.” This vision continues to inspire efforts to redefine the scope of specialized healthcare in Egypt and promote a culture of solidarity, awareness, and sustainable social responsibility.
