AAIB Signs Strategic Partnership with Baheya Foundation to Boost Breast Cancer Awareness in Upper Egypt

The Arab African International Bank (AAIB) has formalized a cooperation protocol with the Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer. The partnership aims to support Baheya Hospital and amplify breast cancer awareness efforts, particularly targeting underserved communities in Upper Egypt.

The signing ceremony took place at the bank’s headquarters, with Mr. Tamer Wahid, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of AAIB, and Dr. Jilan Ahmed, Executive Director of Baheya Foundation, formalizing the agreement.

A Partnership Rooted in Impact

Dr. Jilan Ahmed expressed pride in the fruitful collaboration with AAIB, emphasizing its targeted focus on serving Egyptian women broadly and Baheya’s “warriors” in particular. She praised the bank’s commitment to directing its social responsibility efforts toward Baheya’s vital work, acknowledging their shared belief in the foundation’s crucial role for women across Egypt.

Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at AAIB, Rania Osman, highlighted the partnership’s broader vision:“This initiative is not merely financial support; it is part of our vision to create a positive societal impact. Through our partnership with Baheya, we aim to raise health awareness among women in Upper Egypt and bolster early detection efforts that can save countless lives.”

Building on a Proven Track Record

This protocol builds on a successful history of collaboration between AAIB and Baheya Foundation, which recently organized awareness programs benefiting nearly 4,000 women. These initiatives were part of a medical convoy sponsored by AAIB in some of the most underserved villages of Upper Egypt, carried out in coordination with Baheya and Assiut University Hospitals.

The partnership underscores both institutions’ shared commitment to enhancing healthcare services and combating breast cancer nationwide through impactful initiatives designed to transform the lives of women and their families, fostering healthier and more aware communities.
