Egyptian media personality and writer Germien Amer, member of both the Arab Journalists Union and the Egyptian Writers’ Union, has announced the first-year achievements of her initiative, “Planet of Influencers”, highlighting its flagship campaign, “Make a Difference”, which promotes ethical, impactful, and socially responsible digital content.
The initiative has redefined influencer media in Egypt, emphasizing that true influence is measured by societal and ethical value rather than online trends or follower counts, and empowering content creators to use their platforms for meaningful impact.
Three Pillars of Purposeful Influence
Over the past year, Planet of Influencers has advanced its mission through three main pillars:
1. Inspiring Role Models
The initiative has fostered influencers as ethical role models, promoting professional standards and responsible content creation. Highlights include:
- March 2025: Workshops on public speaking, personal branding, and content creation during the 3rd Star of the Microphone competition.
- December 2025: Participation in the 4th Egyptian Women Summit, organized by the Top 50 Women Forum in collaboration with The Nile University, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the National Council for Women, and the Small and Micro Enterprises Development Agency. Sessions focused on building digital identity, ethical influence, and brand ambassadorship.
2. Social and Economic Empowerment
In August 2025, Amer proposed a professional and ethical charter for Egyptian influencers, balancing freedom of expression with social responsibility. The charter includes five mechanisms for professional influence, covering ethics, accountability, and transparency.
- October 2025: Launch of a TikTok page targeting Egypt’s 43 million users to promote purposeful content over random or harmful content, encouraging influencers and brands to create socially impactful material.
3. Societal Sustainability and Cultural Awareness
- January 2025: Publication of the second book, “Planet of Influencers”, at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, analyzing the transformative role of influencers in shaping behavior, cultural identity, and public discourse.
- February 2025: The “Make a Difference” initiative released 44 blogs, podcasts, and awareness campaigns, empowering influencers to develop research and creative skills while educating audiences on distinguishing positive vs. negative influence.
- November 2025: Launch of the third book, “Tales from the Planet of Influencers”, at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, offering 30 chapters on content strategies, audience engagement, and ethical digital influence.
Redefining Egypt’s Digital Landscape
Through Planet of Influencers, Amer Amer is driving a new era of responsible digital influence, promoting ethical content creation, social awareness, and professional accountability among influencers. The initiative also highlights the importance of ethical charters, cross-platform engagement, and purposeful content as tools for strengthening the creative economy and protecting audiences.
