Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, met with Dr. Solafa Goueli, Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA), to discuss avenues of cooperation in supporting presidential and national training programs, as well as to review the Academy’s future strategy and training plans.
The meeting received Dr. Taher Nasr, Deputy Director of the Academy, and Ms. Heba Abdel Moneim, Supervisor of the Human Development Sector at the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation.
Investing in human capital
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Mashat reaffirmed the state’s commitment to providing full support for training and capacity-building programs, particularly presidential initiatives aimed at preparing qualified cadres capable of leading development efforts across various sectors. She emphasized that these efforts align with the state’s strategic focus on investing in human capital as the cornerstone of sustainable development.
Dr. Al-Mashat highlighted the National Training Academy as a leading national model for preparing young professionals and executive leaders through comprehensive training programs that enhance leadership and technical skills while promoting modern management practices. These efforts, she noted, contribute to improving the efficiency of the state’s administrative apparatus and keeping pace with the requirements of the New Republic.
She stressed that investment in human capital remains a top national priority, explaining that training, knowledge transfer, and skills development are among the most effective drivers of institutional performance and policy implementation. Dr. Al-Mashat affirmed that the ministry will continue to support effective partnerships with the National Training Academy to ensure the preparation of qualified cadres equipped with strategic thinking skills and the ability to respond to evolving development challenges.
Strengthening coordination and sustainability
The meeting also addressed the Academy’s future plans and ways to further develop its training programs to ensure sustainable impact and maximize the use of accumulated expertise. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the ministry and the Academy to strengthen the national capacity-building system and align training programs with the state’s development priorities and strategies.

For her part, Dr. Solafa Goueli stated that the meeting reflects the depth of institutional partnership between the National Training Academy and the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation.
