Dr. Heba El Sewedy, The Founder of Ahl Masr Foundation and Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, announced the launch of the Ahl Masr Hospital Forum under the theme “Shaping the Future of Burn Patients.” The landmark event — the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East — will take place from November 26 to 27, 2025, with pre-conference workshops on November 25.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the forum marks a major milestone in the region’s efforts to advance burn care, trauma management, and rehabilitation research.
“A Real Step Toward Changing Reality”
In a heartfelt announcement, Heba El Sewedy expressed deep pride in the initiative, describing the forum as more than just a scientific gathering — a message of hope, innovation, and humanity.
“No one can truly feel the pain of burn patients as much as we do at Ahl Masr, seeing it every single day,” El Sewedy said, adding “That’s why we had to take a real step that changes reality. Today, I am proud that Ahl Masr Burn Hospital is organizing the first regional forum dedicated to shaping the future of burn care — This event is not just a scientific conference — it’s a message”.
Vision to Transform Burn Care
The Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, the first non-profit hospital in Egypt and the Middle East dedicated exclusively to free burn treatment, continues to lead groundbreaking efforts in trauma medicine and humanitarian care.
Through this pioneering forum, the hospital aims to:
- Promote advanced training for Egyptian and regional medical professionals.
- Foster scientific collaboration in burn treatment, plastic surgery, and post-trauma rehabilitation.
- Strengthen national emergency response systems for burn and trauma incidents.
- Raise awareness about prevention, recovery, and the long-term wellbeing of burn survivors.
Workshops and Scientific Exchange
The event’s pre-conference workshops, scheduled for November 25, will offer hands-on training sessions led by international and Egyptian specialists. Topics will include advanced surgical techniques, rehabilitation practices, and psychological support for burn survivors — reflecting the hospital’s holistic approach to care.
A Message of Hope and Resilience
El Sewedy’s initiative was welcomed by medical professionals, volunteers, and supporters of the Ahl Masr Foundation, who view the forum as a turning point for humanizing healthcare in Egypt and setting new standards in the Middle East.
