Assistant Sub-Governor corporate communication at Central Bank of Egypt

Ghada Kandil is currently the Assistant Sub-Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Governor’s Consultant on Banking Reform.
Kandil joined the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) in 2005 as she took over the management of External Debt Risks. Then, she joined the CBE’s Banking Development Sector in 2008 to oversee the International Institutions file, and later she moved to manage International Markets and Portfolio Management in 2013.
In 2015, Kandil has established the Corporate Borrowers Monitoring Unit as part of the Central Bank of Egypt’s Banking Supervision Sector.
She has received several local and international Certificates of Appreciation and Excellence for her role in developing the field of investment in Egypt.
Kandil is an AUC alumna; having 13 years of banking experience as she held several senior positions in banking and investment institutions in fields of credit, risk, and investment management beside her role in the CBE.
Furthermore, she is a Member in the Egyptian Junior Business Association.
