Remembering Nevine Lotfy

The late Nevine Lotfy held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer since 2002 at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – ADIB Egypt, which was previously Al Watani Bank.
She had led a transformation process in compliance with the Sharia law and strengthened the bank’s position by placing its customer’s requirements as top priority.
Lotfy has had an experience that extends to more than 30 years in the banking career with diverse knowledge in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Retail Banking, Credit Risk Management, and Capital Market sectors.

Before joining Al Watani Bank, had held many positions at Citigroup in the Europe, Middle East and Africa, the most recent one was the Operations Manager, Managing Director, and Head of Credit Affairs post. She had joined the banking sector in March 1976 worked as a Financial Analyst at Citigroup, in its branch in Cairo.
She had got her Bachelor degree in Political Science at the American University in Cairo.
