About Me

Randa I. Abdou is the founder, CEO & Chief Strategist of MARKETING MIX CONSULTANCY with practical hands on experience of more than 75 brands in different marketing and communication capacities since 1988. Following the establishment of MARKETING MIX CONSULTANCY in 1996, Randa co-founded Creative Lab Advertising in 2001 then 60FORTY Advertising in 2019. In February 2020 Randa was named among the ‘Top 50 Most Influential Women in Egypt’ by Amwal El Ghad and in April 2015, she was granted the Distinguished Alumni Award by the American University in Cairo for her career achievements and earlier in 2007, she was recognized by the Ministry of Investment, among 10 Egyptian business women, for her positive contribution to the Egyptian economy. Randa was also featured in several publications among which was the book by Wharton University “Arab Women Rising – 35 Arab Women Entrepreneurs Making a Difference” in 2013.  In 2006 Randa was also featured in the book “Entrepreneurs at the Crossroads” published by University of California San Diego, among 12 profiled successful entrepreneurs from MENA. In Egypt, Randa was also featured in a book published by the Ministry of Investment profiling leading entrepreneurs in Egypt and earlier in 2000, she was selected by Egypt Today Magazine as one of “Ten Dynamos Who Will Shape Egypt in the Next Decade”. Randa is a Mentor with Endeavor Egypt, board member of 138 Pyramids, founding member of AUC Alumni Council 2018 and appeared as main judge on the CBC show for entrepreneurship “Hona El Shabab”. In her efforts to give back to the business community, Randa shares her career learnings pro bono through “Madroos”; an initiative that she created and launched in 2014. Before her entrepreneurial endeavors, Randa was the Marketing Manager of PepsiCo Foods Egypt (Frito Lay) with ‘Very High Potential Rating’ granted back then only to 5% of PepsiCo employees worldwide. Previous to PepsiCo, Randa was the Market Research Planning Manager of P&G Egypt and had started her career as an account executive at Americana Advertising. Randa holds a BA in Mass Communication (with honors) from the American University in Cairo ’88 and as a Chevening scholar, earned her Master of Science in International Marketing from University of Strathclyde, Scotland ’91.
