About Me

After graduating from the German School in Cairo in 1981, Nevin joined the American University in Cairo to study Business Administration.  She graduated from “AUC” in June 1985 with highest honors.  In 1986 she joined Chase National Bank (currently Commercial International Bank “CIB”) and finished the Credit Course in February 1987 being allocated to the Corporate Banking Group.  Throughout the last 30 years, Nevin handled various industry groups at the Corporate Banking Group until becoming Chief Corporate Banking Officer in 2010.  In March 2017 she was further promoted to Deputy CEO – Institutional Banking handling both the Corporate Banking Group & the Global Customer Relations Group, until finally being promoted in December 2017 to become the President of Corporate Credit & Investment handling Corporate Credit Banking, Direct Investment & Debt Capital Market Groups reporting directly to the bank’s Chief Executive Officer . Nevin is also an active member in several executive committees managing different aspects within the bank such as Lending, Investment, Treasury, Non-Financial Risk & Compliance. Ms. Wefky represented the bank as a board member in several companies working within various sectors including but not limited to Investment Banking, Financial Services & Water Treatment. Nevin took various training courses throughout her banking career among which was the “Chase Credit Training Program” at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York in 1998, the “Credit & Risk Program” (Euromoney Training) at Cambridge in 1997 & “Leading in Challenging Times, Developing & Influencing Others” at INSEAD Business School in 2016. The aforementioned programs were among several other training programs at the most prestigious financial institutions, training firms and universities worldwide.
