About Me

A professional Banker with broad experience, as a highly driven and successful Chief Business Officer with 39 years of experience driving successful business operations and enhancing corporate banking productivity, possess a wide range of knowledge and experience in all banking activities specialized in Corporate and Retail Business. Her expertise lies in participating in bank’s strategy among the High Management, assuring driving banking development efforts, staff development, and leadership to expand shareholder value and achieve organizational goals applying approved bank strategy. Through her experience, she has become adept in overseeing a wide variety of operational and fiscal responsibilities to ensure optimal business performance and realize substantial revenue enhancements. The additional success in managing and mentoring teams positions her to make a significant contribution to the Board. High expanded skilled level of communication in the corporate market with prime clientele base together with the governmental entities. Appointed in 2016 as assistant chairman and in 2017 promoted to became the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business officer. Since 2016 UB Corporate portfolio increased from EGP 8.6 MN till reached EGP19.2Bn and managing the retail Banking portfolio that increased from EGP300MN till reached EGP4bn in 2021. UB participated in the most important governmental projects throughout a Varity of syndications during the period from 2016 till 2021  such as (Petroleum and Gas , Electricity  and Real estate sectors   Etc…) 2016  After EGP devaluation UB succeeded to settle EGP1.6bn  from the backlog that showed as a result to the devaluation decision. Currently, Member in UB (Executive Committee, Steering Committee, High Credit Committee, ALCO Committee, Head of product Committee). As well as be a Board member in Mipako Company and Board Member in United Finance Co. At UB she Participated as one of the high management team in the transformation plan – cross selling among all lines of business. Restructuring and reforming Corporate Banking Division of UB in accordance with the newest international Banking systems through establishment of specialized departments. The  projects that are served by this department are classified according to the CBE’s definition.  These departments are to finance Large Corporate, Syndicated Loans, SMEs, Islamic Finance and  Retail Banking – Branches as well as the newly establishment for Financial Inclusion, sustainability and Entrepreneurs. Presented the Bank in varies local and international conferences and seminars by giving speeches and lectures . Managing corporate banking portfolio EGP19.6bn; Retail and branches EGP4bn,  having strong credit and Marketing awareness being exposed with both nationals and multinational financial institutions. Started in MIBANK , Cairo 1982 in corporate banking group, Joined Piraeus Bank, Egypt 2005 as the deputy Director then took Head of corporate banking group of the Egyptian Gulf Bank  in 2008. Centralizing and establishing a strong corporate banking division in MIbank including all sectors in year 2002. Participated in MIbank restructure team in year 2000 with Lloyds Bank TSB for its acquisition by Societe General Bank. Participated in Egyptian commercial Bank transformation for Parious international Greck Bank acquisition, starting from 2005 till 2008. Joined Egyptian Gulf Bank from 2008 till 2016, where she Sectorized Corporate Banking portfolio of  EGBank in order to develop, upgrade the staff skills, and achieve the best performance and Maximized the Egyptian Gulf Bank corporate portfolio since year 2008 from LE2Billion to reach LE14MM, after establishing syndication – SMEs – Large Corporate Banking and she was Board Member at Prime Securities company and Al Shabba Company for Industry. Future leaders Banking course for 3 years  from 2007 till 2010 – Greece. Successfully finalized the High Performance People Skills for Leaders- London Business School , training programs at DG Bank Detsche Genossenchaft- Bank in Frankfurt Germany – the Arab Academy for Banking & Financial Science –Jordon and Credit certified from the American University in Cairo (AUC), 3 study tours for governance and sustainability at ( London – Zurich – Netherland – ) in addition to  participating  number of courses in multinational institutions . Year 2022 awarded for the achievements in Banking sector on women’s day by the  Minister of Social Solidarity. Year 2020 awarded the Goodwill Ambassador for  Nipal – India. Year 2018 Awarded the top 25 influential Banking Person in the MENA region. In 2017 she was awarded as one of the top 50 most influential women in Egypt, coordinated between the national council for women (NCW) and Central Bank of Egypt. In addition, she is a  Rotary member in the women empowerment committee,  being nominated as a mentor to participate in a program aimed to develop women holistically for the future professionally, individually, and spiritually to excel in all political, economic, and social fields.
