During her professional career journey, Nelly Mahmoud has been exposed to diverse cultures, regions, industries; such as fashion, real estate, advertising and banking and also to various work environments such as European, American, Gulf and definitely the Egyptian.

Throughout her professional journey exceeding 25 years now, Nelly has succeeded to drive change within the various organizations she has joined with her solid experience in several scopes such as marketing, communications, strategic branding, advertising, sustainable CSR, internal communications and public relations.

By working closely with the Egyptian ecosystem since 2017, Nelly has gained solid experience in the fields of entrepreneurship, fintech and startup incubation through managing a full platform of capacity building and entrepreneurship programs dedicated to youth, in addition to an exclusive incubator dedicated to Egyptian startups from various sectors.

During the past five years since she has joined EGBANK as Head of Marketing & Communications, she has worked with the leadership team on completely transforming and re-introducing the bank new brand, identity and strategy in alignment with the revamped business model that proved rapid growth and recognition in the Egyptian market.

Nelly masters three languages; English, French and classical Arabic. She is a certified board member by AUC, UN, EIOD and IFC through the Corporate Directors Certification Program (CDCP), in 2020 and certified from London Business School in Strategic Branding, in 2017. Nelly has been selected among the top 50 influential women in Egypt in 2020, through “Smart Vision” Tracker.
