Heba Iskander

Heba Iskander is the Board Secretary & the Corporate Development Director at Orascom Construction PLC. She joined Orascom Construction PLC in 1997 and has spearheaded several transformational corporate initiatives throughout her years at the company including standardized monthly financial reporting best practices and the development of OC PLC’s corporate social responsibility activities.
Ms. Iskander established and has been the Director of the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program since its inception in 2000. To-date, the program has provided 80 extraordinary Egyptian students the opportunity to study at leading universities in the United States. Ms. Iskander also established and directs the OCI Foundation, the company’s social development vehicle.

Additionally, she established, developed and directs the University of Chicago’s exchange program with Cairo University & AUC.
Ms. Iskander is Secretary of the Board of Directors at Orascom Construction PLC and a participant in the company’s Executive Committee; a company think-tank comprised of select members of top management. Ms. Iskander is a Board Member of ENACTUS (Egypt), INJAZ (Egypt), health and hope oasis, Sawiris Foundation for Environmental Development and the Littlest Lamb Organization.
Ms. Iskander holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
