About Me

Ghadeer Hegazy was Deputy Minister of Investment and International Cooperation since August 2017. She is also Advisor to the Minister of International Cooperation for Arab Affairs and Head of the Arab Affairs Unit since November 2015. As an Arab Affairs Unit Head, Hegazy is responsible for the management of loan and grant agreements with Arab finance institutions and for the follow-up of the funding process with national beneficiaries, and participation in the policy-making of the Ministry. Hegazy gradually progressed in the career ladder as an adviser of the Minister of International Cooperation and then becoming the first economic expert responsible for the file of cooperation with Arab countries at Office of the Minister of International Cooperation during the period from 2005 to 2014. She is also a Board Member of the General Committee for Foreign Aid, representing the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation since January 2, 2018. Furthermore, Hegazy has also participated in both discussions about the Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council, from the third meeting till the sixth meeting, and the discussions on the UAE grant. She received her bachelor’s degree in Economy and Political Science – English Section from Cairo University in 2001, and earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) in 2015.
