About Me

Ghada is a Mechanical Engineer with almost 20 years of experience in development of public and private industrial and energy projects representing international engineering companies, equipment suppliers and EPC contractors (sugar, food processing, energy and renewable energy). Furthermore, Ghada worked for more than 10 years as government relations and communications expert for environment protection, water & wastewater treatment and corporate governance projects, funded by EU, OECD and UN agencies. Ghada leads a 50 years old family business representing an international network of equipment suppliers and partners supplying steam boilers, steam turbines, steam line accessories and process equipment to sugar industry along with food processing, starch and glucose industries. The company also supplies bio-gas generation plants (from a well-known Italian group) as a waste management solution to sugar industry, dairy and poultry farms as well as other application. Over the past two years and till present, Ghada has been working as country representative for the SECI Energia SPA part of the Italian Gruppo Industriale Maccaferri (1.4 billion-euro group) for their 100 million US$ investments in 3 utility scale PV plants in Egypt (Benban, Aswan Project) under the government FIT program and for development of IPP projects in Egypt. Since 2011, Ghada partnered and took active roles in Egyptian and International companies active in the field of energy saving (industrial and institutional application covering lighting, chillers and steam and water saving), construction, development and O&M of PV plants, and also owns a company specialised in Energy and Renewable Energy consulting. In 2015, Ghada was selected one of TOP 50 Women shaping the Egyptian Economy and part of TOP50Women forum, was board member and vice chairman of the Egyptian Junior Business Association and currently the secretary general of Benban Solar Energy Developers Association (management of Benban – biggest solar park in the world – project developers’ issues with government, lenders, and all stakeholders) and also board member of Egyptian Independent Power Producers Association representing the solar energy sector on the board.
