She was also the UN Global Compact focal point for about 3 successive years, and the National Coordinator for the Egyptian Corporate Responsibility Center (ECRC). Sherine has been the Chief Executive Officer of Export Development Authority (EDA) since May 2017 to january 2019. Responsible for formulating, managing and setting up export development programs and strategic policies for supporting the Egyptian export sector and facilitating the business environment through EDA’s executive sectors: export strategies and policies sector, export capacity building sector and export promotion sector. EDA is working closely with Ministry of Trade and Industry, in addition to relevant governmental entities, public and private sectors, Business Associations, NGOs and various local and international organizations. Now EDA has successfully gained a notable leading role in the Egyptian export arena;” we have launched the first export hub in 6 th of October City for providing export related services to Egyptian exporters and SMEs, succeeded to host the First AFREXIMBANK International Trade Fair in 2018, working on the execution of the sustainability action plan of Green Trade Initiative (GTI), drafting many export related programs with international entities to be executed, working on promoting and branding the Egyptian exports through organizing international exhibitions, business weeks, matchmaking and B2B meetings. And finally, we launched the first portal for Egyptian exports named (EXPOEGYPT)”.
