Prof. Adla Ragab is a Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Economic and Financial Research and Studies at Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She is currently the Chairperson of Misr Travel Company since July 2019. She was the first women to hold the vice Minister of Tourism position from 2017- 2018. Prior to this, she was the Economic Advisor to the Minister of Tourism from 2006 – 2017.  She supervised on the establishment and activation of the Tourism Sub Accounts Unit from 2008 until 2018. Prof. Adla Ragab participated in preparing for the first free elections in the Faculty of Economics and Political Science and preparing for a project to establish a union for graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, in March 2011. Prof.Adla obtained her PHD degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University in 2008, and became Assistant Professor in 2003. She also obtained a PhD degree in philosophy from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
