Mariam is a member of shalakany’s project development and finance, banking and finance and capital markets departments. She handled several ppp projects, acting for both the procuring entity and the bidders. Further, Mariam acted for number of developers on wind and solar projects under Egypt’s feed in tariff regime. In addition, Mariam is currently acting for JBIC, NEXI and other commercial banks on the financing of the 250 MW BOO wind farm project in the Gulf of Suez, which achieved financial close in December 2017.
She is also currently acting on behalf of a consortium of IFIS as lenders local counsel in relation to two new BOO wind farm power projects with a combined capacity of 500 MW. She is also acting for SACE and the commercial lenders in relation a USD 1.2 billion financing of the modernization and expansion of MIDOR’S refinery.
Mariam acted for EBRD on the financing of the two separate Egyptian manufacturing projects each with a value of USD 50 million, in addition to representing EBRD in several other finances.
She acted on behalf of the borrowers, the Egyptian Bahraini gas derivatives company, in a USD 66.5 million loan transaction. She also acted for the lenders in relation to a USD 600 million term loan facility to the national bank of Egypt.
Mariam obtained an LL.B from Cairo University in 2007 and an LL.M from Indiana university in August 2010. Mariam joined the shalakany’s corporate development in 2007 and she has been elected to the partnership in December 2017.

Abla Abd EL Latif former Chairperson of the Consultative Council for Economic Development of the Egyptian Presidency. It is a council that had been established as an initiative by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to benefit from those who have experiences outside the executive branch of the state; it focuses on two key factors: an economic development and the reform of economic institutions.

During 2015, the council had succeeded in releasing many projects and development initiatives in a number of economic aspects, like “Entaleq”; an initiative based on leading businesses and adopting youth’s ideas, facilitating financing, developing youth’s economic ideas, and finding encouraging financing bank.

In addition, the council has released the 1000 Factory project in the Fifth Settlement Area in New Cairo and the “Wazeftak Gamb Beetak” project, that supports small and medium enterprises and involves establishing 10 factories in every governorate across the country.

Abd EL Latif participates through the council in establishing a fund to support defaulted factories.

She has got her PHD in Economics from California University, USA.

Since 2016, Manal Hussein is the Chairman of Orascom Development Company in Egypt. For
over 20 years, she worked in several Egyptian and other governmental bodies.
She also served as Deputy Minister of Finance, as a Chairman of the Budget Committee from 2004 to 2013 and as a Deputy Minister of commerce in 2003 and 2004.
She worked as an Adviser to the Minister of Economy from 1997 to 2001. Thus, she was appointed a member of the Consultative Council by presidential decree from 2004 to 2011 and she was also appointed Chairman of E-Finance. She held several positions on the boards of several companies with a banking background as wellas airlines, tourism, transport and communications.
Manal received a BA in Media from Cairo University and a master’s degree of Arts in Public Administration from the American University in Cairo. Moreover, she received the Frank Wessner Award for her outstanding mission.In 2008 she received her Doctorate in Public Administration with Honors from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in Cairo University.

Manal was previously a deputy for the Giza governor. She was responsible for the development of disadvantaged communities in the Giza governorate. Mikhail was also responsible for coordinating a number of activities with both local and international non-governmental organizations. She managed a number of local projects.
Moreover, she was responsible for street vendors and for a campaign to ensure that they operate legally. She received UNESCO Learning City Award in 2017. She also received the ‘State Encouragement Award’ in 2017 in the science category for her research and studies into the immune systems of livestock, including on the impact of specific strains of viruses and infections.
Mikhail graduated with a degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Benha followed by a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the University of Alexandria in 1999.

Dr Khattab is the chairman of Afripharma (shareholding pharmaceutical company with a capital of 80 million L.E targeting health care and pharmaceutical industry development for Africa). The  first woman dean  of the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University as well as the chair of  the Board of the University hospitals (5200 beds) ;  the first woman director of the New Kasr Alainy Teaching Hospital, (1200 beds)
Dr. Khattab is a Professor of Internal Medicine at Cairo University. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh,UK and is the first Egyptian   federation lead of the royal colleges of physicians of the united Kingdome .
She is a health-policy expert chaired health committee of the national council of women and the parliament and delivered policy papers on health development and universal national health insurance. She coauthored the health chapter on the Egypt second national communication for climate change (2010 ) and the third African outlook express for environmental changes (2012).
She was the leading person to start liver transplantation at kasr al Aini, and is the chair of the liver transplant center and as well one of the founding members of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt.
Dr. Khattab has been and still on board of many important organizations ACDIMA,VACSERA, National Council for Women, Al Gouna Institute of Nursing, Holding Company of Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals, Souad Kafafy University Hospital, Misr University for Science and Technology, as well as the board of trustees of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union and Al Nahda university.

Lamya has a 15 years’ experience as a project engineer in EEA (Egyptian Electricity Authority) Now EEHC. She has been working as a project engineer since 2007 in private renewable energy projects in EETC. She was Responsible for the following projects: BOO 250 MW wind project in Gulf of Suez (tender opening was in 19th of April), BOO 10×20 MW PV solar projects in KomOmbo- Aswan, and Egypt FIT program with the target of achieving 2000 MW wind projects and 2300 MW PV projects (32 developers in Benban site are constructing 1450 MW solar projects).
She is the Winner of the best initiative of the year 2014 from MESIA (Middle East Solar Energy Association) and also the Winner of the African Energy Regulatory personality of the year 2016, from African energy leadership magazine.
She Graduated from Ain Shams University – Faculty of Engineering-Power Systems Department. She received MBA in Strategic Management 2013 from Cairo-Licensed Victoria School of Business of Switzerland.
